Giveon Dezmann Evans, also known by his stage as Giveon (pronounce it GIV-ON), was born on February 21, 1995, in the United States. He became well-known after working with Drake on their 2020 single, “Chicago Freestyle.” Giveon released two EPs in the same year, Take Time and When It’s All Said and Done, with the first earning a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Album and the latter peaking at number ten on the US Top R&B Albums list.

As the second single from Take Time, he released “Heartbreak Anniversary,” which peaked at number forty in the US and was given a platinum RIAA certification. Giveon and Daniel Caesar appeared on Justin Bieber’s song “Peaches” in 2021, which debuted at the top of both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200 charts. He released his first studio album, Give or Take, in 2022.
