Godsmack is a 1995-founded American rock group from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Sully Erna on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Robbie Merrill on bass, Tony Rombola on lead guitar, and Shannon Larkin on drums make up the band. Seven studio albums, an EP (The Other Side), four DVDs, a compilation album (Good Times, Bad Times… Ten Years of Godsmack), and a live CD have all been published by Godsmack since their inception (Live & Inspired).
The band’s albums Faceless, IV, and The Oracle all debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in a row. The group has 25 top 10 rock radio singles, with 18 of those songs placing in the top five. When Legends Rise, the group’s seventh album, was released on April 27, 2018.
Since its inception, Godsmack has performed at numerous large festivals and tours, including Ozzfest. The band has also supported it’s albums with independent stadium tours. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh proclaimed August 6 as “Godsmack Day” in recognition of the band’s popularity and the release of their sixth studio album, 1000hp.
