American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch, usually known by the initials 5FDP or FFDP, was founded in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2005. Ivan Moody on vocals and keyboards, Zoltan Bathory on rhythm guitar, Caleb Andrew Bingham on lead guitar, Matt Snell on bass, and Jeremy Spencer on drums made up the band’s original lineup. In 2006, guitarist Darrell Roberts took over for Bingham, who was then succeeded by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell quit the band in 2010 and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. Charlie Engen took Spencer’s position after he left the group in 2018 due to persistent back problems, leaving just rhythm guitarist Bathory as a founder member of the group.
Jason Hook was replaced as the lead guitarist of the group in October 2020 by British guitarist Andy James. In 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014, Five Finger Death Punch won the “Indie Artist of the Year” RadioContraband Rock Radio Award. Additionally, they received the Radio Contraband Rock Radio Award for the year’s best album (American Capitalist), song (Coming Down), and video (Wrong Side of Heaven) in 2012.
Nine studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, one extended play (EP), and 33 singles have all been released by Five Finger Death Punch to date.
