American garage punk group White Reaper is located in Louisville, Kentucky. The members of the group are Sam Wilkerson, Ryan Hater, Hunter Thompson, Nick Wilkerson, and Tony Esposito (guitar/vocals). The group has released two EPs and four full-length albums, including The World’s Best American Band in 2017 and their debut, White Reaper Does It Again, in 2015. On October 18, 2019, White Reaper made their major label debut with the release of their third studio album, You Deserve Love. Asking for a Ride, their fourth studio album was made available on January 27, 2023.
White Reaper would secure a record deal with Elektra Records in 2019. In the summer of 2019, three singles from their upcoming albums were released. The song “Might Be Right” became the group’s most successful single, reaching the top of the US Alternative Songs list and peaking at number six on the US Hot Rock Songs chart. The Killers and White Reaper would perform together at the music festival Riot Fest. Their major label debut, You Deserve Love, was released in October 2019. Jimmy Kimmel Live featured White Reaper! playing “Might Be Right” and “Real Long Time” in December 2019. The Metallica Blacklist, a charity tribute album, will be published in September 2021 and features a cover of the Metallica song “Sad But True” by White Reaper.
