Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun and who was born on July 16, 1990, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. One of the largest and most well-known African musicians of all time, Wizkid is a well-known personality in the contemporary Afrobeats music scene. At the age of 11, he started recording music, and he and a few of his church buddies eventually established the group the Glorious Five, which produced an album together. He later became well-known after the release of “Holla at Your Boy,” the lead singles off his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also produced the hits “Tease Me/Bad People” and “Don’t Dull.” Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E.) in 2009.
Wizkid, who has received over 3.4 billion plays across all of his credits on Spotify, was the most streamed Nigerian musician of all time by February 2021.
