Terius Youngdell Gesteelde-Diamant (né Nash; born September 20, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer better known by his stage name The-Dream. Songs he co-wrote include Britney Spears’ “Me Against the Music” (2003), Ciara’s “Ride” (2010), Rihanna’s “Umbrella” (2007), Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” (2008) and “Partition” (2013), Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body” (2008), Karina Pasian’s “16 @ War” (2008), Justin Bieber’s.” Between 2007 and 2013, he released five studio albums as a solo recording artist: Love/Hate (2007), Love vs. Money (2009), Love King (2010), 1977 (2011), and IV Play (2013). His most recent albums include the triple CD Ménage à Trois: Sextape Vol. 1, 2, 3, and Sextape 4 (2020).
At the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, he was nominated for the first Grammy Award for Songwriter of the Year for his work on recordings by Beyoncé, Brent Faiyaz, and Pusha T.
