Shiv Khera, well known for his book You Can Win, is an Indian author, activist, and motivational speaker. In India, he started a fight against caste-based reservations and established the Country First Foundation.
Khera established the Country First Foundation, a social action organization with the purpose of “ensuring freedom through education and justice.” In the 2004 Indian general elections, he ran as an independent candidate from the South Delhi constituency and “lost badly.” He founded the Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanata Party in 2008. During the 2014 Indian elections, he backed the Bhartiya Janata Party and campaigned for Lal Krishna Advani, a senior member of the party. Khera has also filed multiple public interest petitions in the Indian Supreme Court, and he ran unsuccessfully in the 2009 Indian general election on an anti-corruption platform.
Shiv Khera spoke at the Bhagavad Gita Summit (from the 10th to the 14th of December 2021) during Gita Jayanti in Dallas, Texas, US, alongside Swami Mukundananda Ji, Dr. Menas Kafatos, Kiran Bedi, Brahmacharini Gloria Arieira, and others.
