Susan Powter (born 22 December 1957) is an American motivational speaker, nutritionist, personal trainer, and author who rose to prominence in the 1990s with her tagline “Stop the Insanity!” as the focus of her weight-loss infomercial. In the 1990s, she had her own talk program, The Susan Powter program.

Powter, a proponent of a whole-foods, organic, low-fat diet as well as frequent aerobic and strength-training activity, also slammed the diet business.

Her platinum-white tightly cropped hair, forceful speaking style, and habit of going barefoot in public all contributed to her popularity. She has subsequently grown her hair out and has several tattoos.
