A British singer and songwriter by the name of Raye (stylized all caps), Rachel Agatha Keen was born on October 24, 1997. She became well-known after appearing on the singles “Bed” by Joel Corry and David Guetta, “Secrets” by Regard, “By Your Side” by Jonas Blue, “You Don’t Know Me” by Jax Jones, and “You Don’t Know Me” by Jonas Blue, all of which have garnered her platinum-status BPI certifications.
Raye ended her relationship with her record company Polydor Records in July 2021 and started working as an independent musician. She received favorable reviews on the release of her debut studio album, My 21st Century Blues, in February 2023. The successful track “Escapism,” which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Rank and became her first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, served as the album’s lead single.
