Isis Gaston, sometimes known as Ice Spice, is an American rapper. She was born on January 1, 2000. She started her career in 2021 after meeting record producer RIOTUSA while attending Purchase College. She was born and reared in The Bronx, New York City. In addition to “Munch (Feelin’ U),” “Bikini Bottom,” and “In Ha Mood,” which came before her debut extended play (EP) Like..?, Ice Spice gained notoriety. (2023). The New York Times’s Jon Caramanica described her as “rap’s new princess” at that point.
After meeting a record producer named RIOTUSA while they were both students at SUNY, where Ice Spice finally dropped out, in 2021, she began rapping. After a video of Ice Spice completing the “Buss It” challenge went viral on Twitter, he produced her debut single, “Bully Freestyle,” which was made available in March 2021. She became well-known on Instagram when her song “Name of Love” acquired popularity on SoundCloud. Drake helped her song “Munch (Feelin’ U),” which was released on August 10, 2022, acquire success by playing it on his Sirius XM radio station, Sound 42. The song also had a video and was also produced by RIOTUSA. Following its virality on Twitter and TikTok, it debuted on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Bubbling Under Hot 100 lists of Billboard. The song “One Time” by B-Lovee featured Ice Spice as a featured artist in September 2022. She signed a record deal with 10K Projects and Capitol Records later that month. She released the single “Bikini Bottom” on October 28. Like.., Ice Spice’s first EP, which featured the tracks “Munch (Feelin’ U), “Bikini Bottom,” and “In Ha Mood,” was released on January 20, 2023.
