English electronic musician Kieran Hebden, better known by his stage name Four Tet, was born in September 1977. He first gained notoriety as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before becoming a successful solo artist with albums like Rounds (2003), Everything Ecstatic (2005), and There Is Love in You (2010). Hebden’s body of work also includes a number of improvisational pieces with jazz drummer Steve Reid, as well as collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke, in addition to his eleven studio albums under the moniker Four Tet.
Hebden has produced albums by the American improvisational duo Sunburned Hand of the Man and Syrian dabke vocalist Omar Souleyman in addition to his own efforts. Hebden also orchestrated the Madlib album Sound Ancestors in 2021. Additionally, he has remixed songs by artists such as Aphex Twin, Bicep, Explosions in the Sky, Bloc Party, Super Furry Animals, Radiohead, Ellie Goulding, J Dilla, Lana Del Rey, Manic Street Preachers, Sia, Black Sabbath, Madvillain; a selection of these were compiled on the compilation Remixes (2006). Also, he has done DJ performances, including collaborations with the British producer Fred Again and American producer Skrillex.
