Calvin Harris is the stage name of Adam Richard Wiles, a Scottish DJ, record producer, singer, and songwriter born on January 17, 1984. He has six studio albums to his credit.
I Created Disco, his first studio album, was released in June 2007. The singles “The Girls” and “Acceptable in the 80s” peaked in the UK’s top 10. His second studio album, Ready for the Weekend, was released in 2009; it debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart, and its lead single, “I’m Not Alone,” became his first to reach the top of the UK Singles Chart.
With the release of his third studio album, 18 Months, in 2012, Harris gained international notoriety. The album topped the UK Albums Chart and was Harris’ first to chart on the US Billboard 200, reaching number 19. The eight singles from the album debuted in the UK’s top 10, breaking Michael Jackson’s previous record for the top 10 singles from a single studio album with eight entries. His fourth studio album, Motion, which was published in 2014, debuted at number two in the UK and number five in the US. His fifth studio album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol., was released in 2017. 1, which became his third straight number-one album on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart and peaked at number two in both the UK and the US.
