Jasmine Lucilla Elizabeth Jennifer van den Bogaerde (born 15 May 1996), commonly known as Birdy, is an English singer and composer. At the age of 12, she won the music competition Open Mic UK in 2008. Her breakout track, a cover version of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love,” charted all across Europe and earned platinum certification six times in Australia. Birdy, her self-titled debut album, was released on November 7, 2011, to similar success, reaching number one in Australia, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Her second studio album, Fire Within, was released in the United Kingdom on September 23, 2013. She was nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist at the 2014 Brit Awards. Beautiful Lies, her third studio album, was released on March 25, 2016. Young Heart, her fourth studio album, was released on April 30, 2021.
