Rapper and musician Benito Antonio Martnez Ocasio, better known by his stage name Bad Bunny, was born in Puerto Rico on March 10, 1994. Although he incorporates elements from different genres into his songs, his primary musical styles are Latin trap and reggaeton.He first gained notoriety in 2016 with his song “Diles,” which resulted in a recording contract with Hear This Music. Over the following few years, he continued to acquire popularity with songs like “Soy Peor” and his collaborations with Farruko, Karol G, Ozuna, J Balvin, and others.
Spanish-language music is credited with breaking through to the public on the global music scene thanks to Bad Bunny. He broke the record for most streams on Spotify in 2020 and again in 2021, becoming the first non-English language act to do so. In 2022, he achieved the highest year of Spotify streaming for any artist. Three Grammy Honors, four Latin Grammy Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, and thirteen Premios lo Nuestro awards have all been won by Bad Bunny. At the 2022 Apple Music Awards, he received the Artist of the Year honor.
