Alex Eugene Newell, is an American actor. and singer was born on August 20, 1992. They are well-known for playing Mo on Zoey’s Incredible Playlist and Unique Adams on the Fox musical series Glee. Moreover, Newell played the role of Asaka in the 2018 Broadway production of Once on This Island at the Circle in the Square Theater. Newell has collaborated on songs as a singer with The Knocks, Blonde, and Clean Bandit.
The comedy pilot for NBC, Imaginary Friend, in which Newell portrayed the title part, was scheduled to air in 2016. No other network wanted to turn it into a series, therefore it was passed on. On a tune with DJ Cassidy and Jess Glynne, they provided music for the HBO TV show Vinyl.
They often perform at benefit concerts, most notably for The Trevor Project, the Human Rights Campaign, Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition, and other fundraisers, as part of their commitment to supporting other LGBT youngsters. The 2015 GLAAD Media Awards gave Newell a special honor award.
