Jerome Harmon (born September 25, 1968), commonly known as J-Roc, is a Fort Worth, Texas-based composer, and music producer. He regularly works with Timbaland. Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Ashlee Simpson, Mario, Nelly Furtado, Jamie Foxx, Michael Jackson, Kat Dahlia, and Chris Cornell have all worked with Jerome Harmon.
J-Roc spent years on the session circuit, beginning with playing organ and piano on early Kirk Franklin albums such as Kirk Franklin and the Family, Whatcha Lookin’ 4, and Kirk Franklin & the Family Christmas. Wayman Tisdale’s critically acclaimed album Decisions featured five songs co-produced by J-ROC in 1998. J-Roc worked with Royal Court productions and subsequently with Timbaland’s production firm in 2007, and contributed to Timbaland’s solo album Shock Value as well as Bobby V’s album Special Occasion, co-producing the track “Anonymous”.
