Nina Nesbitt is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on July 11, 1994. She has two top 40 singles, with “Stay Out,” which peaked at No. 21 on the UK Singles Chart in April 2013, being the most well-known.
After garnering exposure on BBC Radio 1, her debut EP, The Apple Tree, was published in April 2012 and reached its highest point at No. 6 on the iTunes download charts as well as the top of the singer/songwriter list. As a follow-up to “Stay Out,” The Way in the World EP and single were released on July 23, 2013. For a new John Lewis commercial campaign, she recorded a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop” in August 2013. The song peaked at number 61 on the charts. On February 17, 2014, Nesbitt released Peroxide, her debut studio album.
She has written songs for a variety of musicians, such as Olivia Holt, Don Diablo, Jessie Ware, and The Shires. The Sun Will Come Up, the Seasons Will Change, Nesbitt’s second studio album, was published in February 2019. She released her third studio album, lskar, in September 2022.
