Young the Giant is an American rock band that formed in 2004 in Irvine, California. Sameer Gadhia (lead vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass guitar), and Francois Comtois (drums) make up the band’s lineup. Young the Giant, formerly known as The Jakes, was signed to Roadrunner Records in 2009 and released their self-titled debut album in 2010. “My Body,” “Cough Syrup,” and “Apartment,” the band’s first three singles, all hit on the US Alternative Songs chart.
