Yandel, whose real name is Llandel Veguilla Malavé and who was born on January 14, 1977, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and one-half of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. In class, Yandel first encountered Wisin. They started out as a duo in 1998, with Yandel going by the stage name “Llandel,” and they released their first album, El Reyes del Nuevo Milenio, in 2000. With the release of My Vida in 2003, they later transitioned to a major label. Their debut film for Universal subsidiary Fresh Productions was My Life. Then, in 2005, Pa’l Mundo propelled them to mainstream success. Later, Wisin & Yandel launched their own record label, WY Records, and debuted a subsidiary band called Los Vaqueros. After the duo’s Lderes tour in November 2013, they took a break. He has continued to tour ever since. In November 2015, the third album, Dangerous, was made available.
