Ty Dolla Sign, often written as Ty Dolla $ign or Ty$, is a stage name for Tyrone William Griffin Jr., an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on April 13, 1982. He first became well-known in 2010 thanks to his appearance on the song “Toot It and Boot It” by American rapper YG. He inked a record deal with Taylor Gang Records, a label run by American rapper Wiz Khalifa, in the summer of 2013. His first studio album, Free TC, was released in November 2015 and reached its best position on the Billboard 200 at number 14.
Ty Dolla Sign is well-known for his songs “Paranoid,” “Or Nah,” and “Blasé,” as well as his writing contributions to Chris Brown’s “Loyal,” “Post to Be,” Omarion’s collaboration with Brown and Jhené Aiko, and Rihanna’s “FourFiveSeconds.” He has also made appearances on numerous singles, including “Work from Home” by Fifth Harmony, and “Swalla,” which features Nick Together with the other members of the production team D.R.U.G.S.—Chordz 3D, Buddah Shampoo, Nate 3D, James Koo, Fuego, and DJ Dahi—Sign has a solo music career.
