Two Door Cinema Club is a Bangor, Northern Ireland-based band. Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, rhythms, synthesizers), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (drums) created the band in 2007. (bass, synths, backing vocals).
Tourist History, the band’s debut album, was released on March 1, 2010 by French indie record label Kitsuné Music. The album was released on April 27, 2010 in the United States, where the band is signed to Glassnote Records. The next year, Tourist History won the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year (2010).
Beacon, the band’s second album, was released on September 3, 2012, and debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and number two on the UK Albums Chart.
Gameshow, the band’s third album, was released on October 14, 2016. The first song, “Are We Ready? (Wreck),” was released on June 14, 2016, and debuted on BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac’s Hottest Record. Two further singles, “Bad Decisions” and “Gameshow,” were released prior to the album and are also on the track list.
