American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and leader of the Tommy Marz Band, Tommy Marz. Marz, who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, began playing the drums at the age of 10 and was a member of the Ann Arbor Trail Marching Band Drum Line located in Detroit. He was the guitarist and vocalist when he started the rock group goes to Zero in 2004. He released a cover of George Michael’s song “Faith” in 2011. Marz’s cover video received more than 100,000 views on YouTube after George Michael retweeted it to his followers. After making musical guest appearances on two episodes of Last Call with Carson Daly, he formed the rock trio the Tommy Marz Band with drummer Jason Tucker and bassist Chris Alef. Marz once more played guitar and sang for the group.
Touring with groups and performers like Scott Stapp, Great White, The Dan Band, Fuel, and Scott Weiland took place from 2012 to 2018. A joint project by Marz and P.M. was launched on June 21, 2019. a cover of “Blurry,” a hit by Puddle of Mudd.
Marz participated in the March 6, 2021, broadcast of Jeff Schroeder, guitarist, and keyboardist for the Smashing Pumpkins, For the Crew virtual performance.
