Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe (born February 6, 1993) is a singer, dancer, and actor from the United States. Tinashe traveled to Pasadena as a kid to seek a career in showbiz after being born in Lexington, Kentucky. She was a motion-capture model in the animated film The Polar Express (2004), Robin Wheeler in the Cartoon Network television series Out of Jimmy’s Head (2007-2008), and a recurrent part in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. (2008–2009).
Music critics praised her debut studio album, Aquarius (2014), as one of the most “solid” debuts by a new female singer in years. Her record earned her Soul Train and BET Award nominations. “All My Friends,” her duet with Snakehips and Chance the Rapper, received the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song in 2016. Tinashe performed on Britney Spears’ record “Slumber Party,” which topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs list the same year. Nightride (2016), Tinashe’s second studio album, debuted at number eight on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list. Joyride (2018), her third studio album, debuted at 58 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number six on the UK R&B Albums chart.
