American country music performer, songwriter, producer, actor, and singer-songwriter Samuel Timothy McGraw was born on May 1, 1967. He has 16 studio albums out (11 for Curb Records, four for Big Machine Records, and one for Arista Nashville). His 1994 breakthrough album Not a Minute Too Soon was the best-selling country album of 1994. Of those albums, 10 have peaked at number one on the Top Country Albums charts. 65 singles have been released from McGraw’s albums overall, 25 of which have topped the Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay charts. According to Billboard Year-End, three of these tracks, “It’s Your Love,” “Just to See You Smile,” and “Live Like You Were Dying,” was the top country hits in 1997, 1998, and 2004, respectively. In addition, he has received three Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 CMA Awards, 10 American Music Awards, and three People’s Choice Awards.
