The Pretty Reckless is a New York City-based American rock band that formed in 2009. Taylor Momsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass), and Jamie Perkins make up the band. (drums).
Light Me Up, the band’s debut studio album was released in August 2010. The album yielded three modestly popular songs, most notably “Make Me Wanna Die”. In early 2012, the band released the EP Hit Me Like a Man. Going to Hell, the band’s second studio album was released in March 2014 and featured the songs “Heaven Knows” and “Messed Up World,” which topped the US and UK rock charts.
Razor & Tie published the band’s third studio album, Who You Selling For, on October 21, 2016. The track “Take Me Down” from the album became the band’s fourth number-one single on the US rock chart. Death by Rock and Roll, the band’s fourth studio album, was released on February 12, 2021. When “Death by Rock and Roll” reached number one on the charts, The Pretty Reckless became the first female-fronted band to achieve five number-one singles.
