American comedian Taylor Elyse Tomlinson was born on November 4, 1993. Two of her stand-up specials on Netflix, Quarter-Life Crisis (2020) and Look At You (2022).
When Tomlinson was 16, her father enrolled her in a stand-up class, and she soon started doing stand-up. She gave performances in school auditoriums, coffee shops, and church basements. In 2015, she advanced to the top 10 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing’s ninth season. In 2019, Variety named her one of the “Top 10 Comedians to Watch” at the Just for Laughs Festival. She has made appearances on shows produced by Comedy Central like Conan and The Tonight Show. In 2017, she created a sitcom for ABC, however, it was not selected for a pilot. On a 2018 episode of the Netflix stand-up program The Comedy Lineup, she delivered a 15-minute set.
Quarter-Life Crisis, Tomlinson’s first Netflix stand-up special, debuted in March 2020. Later that year, she went on the Codependent Tour with fellow comic Whitney Cummings. Together with other comedians Kelsey Cook and Delanie Fischer, she participated in the Self-Helpless podcast that year. She launched her own podcast, titled Sad in the City, in 2021. In December 2021, she was added to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Look At You, her second Netflix stand-up special, debuted in March 2022.
