Take That is a Manchester-based English pop group that was established in 1990. Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen are the current members of the band. Jason Orange and Robbie Williams were also on the initial lineup. Barlow is the principal vocalist and major lyricist for the band, with Owen and Williams originally providing background vocals and Donald and Orange largely performing as dancers.

The group has had 28 top-40 songs and 17 top-5 hits on the UK songs Chart, with 12 of them reaching number one, including “Back for Good”, “Never Forget”, “Patience”, and “Greatest Day”. In addition, they have eight number-one albums on the UK Albums Chart. The band has had 56 number-one singles and 39 number-one albums worldwide. They’ve won eight Brit Awards, including Best British Group and Best British Live Act. They were awarded the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2012. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), Take That has sold 14 million albums and 11.4 million singles in the United Kingdom.
