Stephanie Lynn Nicks (born May 26, 1948) is a singer, songwriter, and producer best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist.
Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975, after beginning her career as a pair with her then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham, releasing the album Buckingham Nicks to little success. Rumours, the band’s second album with Nicks, went platinum in the United States and became one of the best-selling albums of all time.
While still a member of Fleetwood Mac, Nicks launched her solo career in 1981, releasing the studio album Bella Donna, which topped the Billboard 200 and went multiplatinum. She has eight studio solo albums and seven studio albums with Fleetwood Mac, selling a total of 65 million sales in the United States alone.
As a solo artist, Nicks has received eight Grammy Award nominations and two American Music Award nominations. She has received multiple prizes with Fleetwood Mac, including a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Rumours in 1978.
