Steven Patrik Josefsson Fragogiannis (Greek: v; born 22 November 1982), known professionally as Steve Angello, is a Greek-Swedish DJ, record producer, remixer, and record label owner. Along with Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, he is a member of the Swedish House Mafia.
Following the success of Supermode’s “Tell Me Why,” Steve Angello’s first significant commercial smash as a solo artist was a feature on David Guetta’s “Baby When the Lights Go Out” in 2007. After creating it for Guetta’s third studio album Pop Life, Angello was eventually granted composition and production credits for the song. In 2007, he had some success with his collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso, “Umbrella,” although it was not as successful.
As the new year begins, Steve Angello releases a trio of songs with Sebastian Ingrosso and Laidback Luke, titled “Be”, “555”, and “It” in that order. Still, Angello’s next breakthrough song was a remake of Robin S.’s 1990 song Show Me Love”, which was done with Dutch DJ and frequent collaborator Laidback Luke and features rerecorded vocals from Robin S.. The song peaked at number one on the UK dance charts and remained a staple in Swedish House Mafia sets to this day. The song would appear on Until One, the band’s debut album.
