Samuel Denison Martin (born February 7, 1983) is a Grammy Award-winning musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer from the United States. His song “Want to Want Me” (issued by Jason Derulo) has the most additions in the history of American contemporary hit radio. Martin’s first song he composed for another artist after signing with Artist Publishing Group became “Daylight” by Maroon 5, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts. His contributions to Ziggy Marley’s record Fly Rasta resulted in it being a number-one reggae album and earning a Grammy Award.
e emerged in the public limelight in 2014 for not just composing but being a featured artist on David Guetta’s number-one songs “Lovers on the Sun” and “Dangerous”. He has collaborated with One Direction, Nick Jonas, Zedd, Flo Rida, Prince Royce, The Chainsmokers, Pitbull, Jon Bellion, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Julia Michaels, Armin van Buuren, and G-Eazy on projects. Sam Martin also has a side project called “Con Bro Chill” which has published tunes like “We Should Hang Out”.
