Higa, best known for his YouTube comedy videos, began creating videos in 2006 and was one of the platform’s most popular producers in its early years. From 2009 until 2011, his main YouTube channel, nigahiga, was the most subscribed channel on YouTube for 677 straight days, a feat only exceeded by PewDiePie and T-Series. Higa was the first individual to surpass the 2 million and 3 million subscriber milestones on YouTube. In 2018, Higa established the Off the Pill podcast, which has included YouTubers and celebrities such as KevJumba, Andrew Yang, and Jeremy Lin. Higa began broadcasting on Twitch in 2020, where he comments to his previous videos and broadcasts video game material, most notably in Valorant.
