Ralphi Rosario, a DJ/producer from Chicago, Illinois, and Abel Aguilera, a musician from Miami, Florida, make up the American house music duo Rosabel. The duo, each of whom is already a well-known club/dance musician, has five times reached the top of the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Their debut single, “La Puta,” which was released in 1995, was also remixed and included in a reggaeton mix on September 20, 2000, compilation album DJ Nelson & DJ Goldy’s Xtassy Reggae. The song “Don’t You Want My Love” from 2000 featured Debbie Jacobs-Rock on vocals. With “The Power” featuring Jeanie Tracy, which reached number one, and a remix of Jennifer Holliday’s “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Leaving,” which peaked at number six on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, Rosabel achieved two top 10 club singles in 2001. With “That Sound,” they spent a week at the top in 2002.
The pair revealed The Album, their first-ever studio album, in 2019. Singers Tamara Wallace, Terri Bjerre, and Jeanie Tracy are featured on Rosabel’s 14-track CD. Rosabel launched a tour to support their new songs immediately after the duo regrouped with Rod Carrillo at Carrillo Music to supervise The Album.
