Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz, also known as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and composer who was born on January 10, 1993. He is known as the “King of Modern Reggaeton” and is a member of “the new generation” of urban musicians from Puerto Rico. Afrodisaco, his first studio album, was released in November 2020. The lead single from Vice Versa, his second studio album, which was released in June 2021, was “Todo de Ti.” Out of twelve nominations, he has received two Latin Grammy Awards.
Latin R&B, reggaeton, rhythmic pop, and ballads are some of Rauw Alejandro’s musical genres. It has helped “put him apart from a growing class of pop-leaning reggaetoneros,” according to Billboard. Early influences on him were Presley and Jackson, and later ones included Chris Brown, Daddy Yankee, and Ricky Martin. He names Ciara as another musical influence.
