American rock group Pierce the Veil hails from San Diego, California. After the breakup of the Before Today (previously Early Times) group, which was born out of the San Diego punk rock scene, brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes formed the band in 2006. Jaime Preciado (bass) and Tony Perry are other band members (lead guitar). Since the release of their debut album, A Flair for the Dramatic in 2007, Pierce the Veil has performed on five studio tours and published five albums.
In 2010, the group issued Selfish Machines, their second full-length studio album. Collide with the Sky, their third album, was released in 2012 and is their first record to be published on the Fearless Records label. The album, which featured the smash hit “King for a Day,” opened at No. 12 on the Billboard 200. Misadventures, their fourth album, was made available on May 13, 2016. The Jaws of Life, their fifth album, was released on February 10th, 2023.
