On December 22, 1993, Meghan Elizabeth Trainor was born on Nantucket, Massachusetts, where she spent the most of her childhood. Currently a singer, songwriter, and producer, she began her musical career when she was just eleven years old. She started writing her own songs when she was thirteen on a computer that her parents, who were also musically interested, had purchased. During her time at Nauset Regional High School, she and her brothers attended summer programs at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Trainor obtained a composer contract with Big Yellow Dog Music at the age of 18, while he was still in high school, through Carla Wallace. I’ll Sing With You and Only 17 were two CDs she wrote and independently published in 2011. She had the chance to visit major metropolises including Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville to collaborate on songs with a variety of musicians, including Rascal Flatts, Sabrina Carpenter, and R5. At the age of 19, she eventually made Nashville her home. The song “All About That Bass,” which they co-wrote in 2014 after Trainor met Grammy-nominated producer Kevin Kadish, was the finest thing to happen to her career. Trainor was able to record and release the song as a solo artist after L.A. Reid heard her own demo of it and instantly signed her to Epic Records. In the US, “All About That Bass” peaked at number one. For eight weeks in a row, the Billboard Hot 100 list beat those of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The song continued to top the U.K. charts and became the first act to formally enter the Official Singles Chart Top 40 based only on streams. for four consecutive weeks. Her EP, “Title,” made its American debut in September 2014. On the Billboard 200 list, fifteen.
