In 2018, MAX’s single “Lights Down Low” achieved double platinum in the US, platinum in Canada, and gold in Australia. Maxwell George Schneider (born June 21, 1992), popularly known by his stage name MAX, is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and model who is currently signed to Arista and Sony RED. Due to this, MAX was recognized as a 2019 iHeart nominee for “Best New Pop Artist,” and in 2020, his single “Love Me Less” achieved Gold status in the US and Canada.
In New York’s Woodstock, Schneider was raised. From the age of three, he started acting, and at the age of 14, he got his first agency. In 2008 and 2009, Schneider covered four roles as a swing understudy in the Broadway production of 13 and appeared alongside Madonna in an international Dolce & Gabbana campaign. He won the 2010 YoungArts Theater Award, and that same year, First Encounters, his debut extended play (EP), was published.
2018 saw the release of the single “Team” by MAX and Noah Cyrus. Quinn XCII is featured on MAX’s new song “Love Me Less,” which peaked at number 20 on Top 40 Radio during the summer of 2019. Billboard ranked MAX as the top Emerging Artist, and he was nominated for the iHeart 2019 Best New Pop Artist award. Love Me Less has since received gold certification in the US and Canada. The song was performed by MAX on Jimmy Kimmel Live! In 2020, he released “Missed Calls” with Hayley Kiyoko and appeared on the mixtape D-2 by Korean musician Agust D, the solo alias of Suga from the South Korean group BTS. He has also appeared on the Today Show, Live with Kelly and Ryan, and the Today Show. Later, Suga appeared in the song “Blueberry Eyes” by MAX.
