Ludovico Maria Enrico Einaudi OMRI (born November 23, 1955) is a pianist and composer from Italy. Einaudi began his career as a classical composer after studying at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, subsequently combining additional forms and genres including pop, rock, folk, and world music.
Einaudi’s film and television scores include This Is England, The Intouchables, I’m Still Here, the TV miniseries Doctor Zhivago, and Acquario (1996), for which he received the Grolla d’oro. Nomadland and The Father, both Golden Globe and Academy Award winners, included his music as the soundtrack.
He has also published a number of solo piano and other instrument albums, including I Giorni in 2001, Nightbook in 2009, and In a Time Lapse in 2013. Einaudi announced a seven-part project called Seven Days Walking on March 1, 2019, which would be released over the course of seven months in 2019.
