American heavy metal band Lamb of God, also known as LoG, hails from Richmond, Virginia. The band, formerly known as Burn the Priest, was founded in 1994 and consists of drummer Art Cruz, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and vocalist Randy Blythe. The group is regarded as a vital contributor to the new wave of American heavy metal.
The band has nearly two million total sales in the US, including two albums with Gold RIAA certification. Songs from the band’s 2009 album Wrath got Grammy nominations in 2010 and 2011. In 2016, they were nominated for their song “512.” Twice, Lamb of God joined Ozzfest on tour. Additional appearances include the Gigantour, Soundwave Festival, Mayhem Festival 2010, Download Festival, and Sonisphere Festival in the UK. They followed Metallica on their Global Magnetic Tour from 2008 to 2010, and they accompanied Slayer on their final world tour in 2018 and 2019.
