Khia Shamone Finch (born November 8, 1976) is a rapper, songwriter, singer, media personality, and record producer from the United States. She is well known for her number-one single, “My Neck, My Back (Lick It),” as well as other noteworthy street hits including “Snatch the Cat Back”, “Respect Me”, “K-Wang”, and “Next Caller”.
Thug Misses, Khia’s debut album, was released in 2002 on Dirty Down/Artemis Records as a re-release from Divine Records. “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” became a breakthrough success, peaking at #42 on the Hot 100 chart and #12 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. According to MTV News, she wrote “My Neck, My Back” in 15 minutes.
In 2009, Khia began production on her fourth album, MotorMouf aka Khia Shamone. “Been a Bad Girl,” the album’s debut song, was released on May 4, 2010. Clifton Bell directed the video for the track in New York. The song revealed a more sensitive side of the rapper. Khia promoted the record on a local ABC News broadcast shortly after its release. In 2010, she told the website HipHopDX that the album’s songs would highlight her singing rather than rapping. “Been a Bad Girl” was followed by a second single, “So Addicted,” a soothing R&B tune. That music was included in the album’s Khia Shamone section.
