Katriana Sandra Huguet (born July 29, 1990) is a Cuban-American music artist better known by her stage name Kat Dahlia (previously Kat Hue). Born and bred in Miami, Florida, Dahlia is a singer, songwriter, and rapper, recognized for her “razor sharp” lyrics and her “unique, violent flow”. She received positive feedback for her debut single “Gangsta,” which was released in March 2013. Dahlia’s debut studio album, My Garden, was released in January 2015 via Vested in Culture and Epic Records, with whom she signed a recording contract in 2012. Dahlia was named eighth on Billboard’s “Next Big Sound” list in 2013.
Dahlia released the song “Friday Night Majic” in May 2017 as the lead single from her upcoming second studio album, Naked Woman and a White Horse. The album was produced by J Roc and was supposed to be released in July 2017, however, it never happened. Dahlia released her single “Body and Soul” to all streaming platforms on July 21, 2017, and also published a lyric video to her YouTube Vevo channel.
On May 4, 2018, after producing his For the Culture Playlist, which included Miguel’s tune “Come Through and Relax”, Salaam Remi released the EP South Beach Social Club, a collaboration with Dahlia.
