Kaleo (stylized as KALEO) is an Icelandic blues rock band founded in 2012 in Mosfellsbaer. Jökull Jlusson, lead vocalist and guitarist, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, lead guitarist Rubin Pollock, and harmonicist Þorleifur Gaukur Davsson make up the band. They have three studio albums to their credit, Kaleo (2013), A/B (2016), and Surface Sounds (2021), as well as an EP, Glasshouse (2013). A/B’s albums have sold over one million copies globally. “Way Down We Go,” one of A/B’s singles, was certified double platinum in the United States and peaked at number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs list on August 20, 2016. Kaleo’s song “No Good” was nominated for a Grammy in 2017 for Best Rock Performance.
Surface Sounds, their third studio album, is set to be released on April 23, 2021.
