James Nicholas Commons (born 22 October 1988) is a singer-songwriter from New Cross, London.
His second EP, Rumble, and Sway was released by Interscope in March 2013 and was produced by Alex da Kid, who signed him to his label KIDinaKORNER early on. Later, the title tune was used in the trailer for the Coen Brothers’ film Hail, Caesar! , season three of the American supernatural adolescent drama television series Teen Wolf, and season three of the American legal drama television series Suits, as well as cameos in Levi’s advertisements in 2014 and Butterfinger commercials in 2020.
“Jungle,” his collaboration with X Ambassadors, appears in the promos for Season 2 of Orange Is the New Black, the computer game Battlefield Hardline, Season 4 of the American supernatural adolescent drama television series Teen Wolf, and the film Pitch Perfect 2. Furthermore, the song was featured in advertising for Beats by Dre during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, as well as in the film Horrible Bosses 2. The song was used in a WWEShop.com commercial and as the theme song for the WWE Battleground PPV. “Jungle” appeared in the end credits of several films, including Hercules (2014), Project Almanac, and Hitman: Agent 47. This song is also heard at the end of the TV show The Blacklist.
