Icona Pop, a Swedish electropop duo with indie pop and electro-house elements, was founded in 2009. Its two members, Caroline Hjelt (8 November 1987) and Aino Jawo (7 July 1986), both from Stockholm, are known for making music that “you can both laugh and cry to at the same time,” according to the Swedish press. They joined TEN Music Group in 2009, and they also have a label agreement with Ultra Music right now. “I Love It” has so far been their biggest hit.
