Christopher Jerrod Dooley Jr. (born March 7, 1989) is an American rapper better known by his stage name Hurricane Chris. “A Bay Bay” was his commercial breakthrough song, while 51/50 Ratchet was his debut studio album (2007).
Hurricane Chris released his first commercial single, “A Bay Bay,” on April 10, 2007. Phunk Dawg produced the tune.
Chris released his second commercial single, “The Hand Clap,” on August 8. This music is produced by Phunk Dawg, who also produced Chris’ previous commercial song (“A Bay Bay”).
Chris released his first official mixtape, Louisi-Animal, on August 17. The remix of “A Bay Bay” was included on the mixtape, which also included rappers The Game, Lil Boosie, E-40, Baby, Angie Locc, and Jadakiss.
Chris released his debut studio album, 51/50 Ratchet, on October 23. The album opened at number 24 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, selling 60,000 copies in its first week.
