Harley Edward Streten (born November 5, 1991) is an Australian DJ and music producer better known as Flume. He is considered a future bass pioneer who helped popularize the genre. Flume’s self-titled debut studio album, released in 2012, received favorable reviews, topping the ARIA Albums Chart and earning double-platinum status in Australia.
Flume has remixed tracks by Lorde, Sam Smith, Arcade Fire, Hermitude, and Disclosure. Skin, his second studio album, debuted at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart in 2016. During the 2017 Grammy Awards, the album was named Best Dance/Electronic Album. The album received international attention after its debut song, “Never Be Like You,” was nominated for Best Dance Recording. Flume followed up Skin with Skin Companion EP 1 in November 2016 and Skin Companion EP 2 in February 2017 as the album’s B-side EPs. Hello This Is Flume, his 2019 mixtape, received excellent reviews. Palaces, his third studio album, was released in May 2022.
