Rapper and singer Stacy Ann “Fergie” Ferguson was born in the United States on March 27, 1975. She originally found fame on the charts when she was a member of the hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas. Three of the tracks from her debut solo album, The Dutchess (2006), reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100: “London Bridge,” “Glamorous,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” The album was commercially successful. She does not consider herself a rapper even though she vocally adds rapping into some of her performances.
Fergie was formerly a member of the girl group Wild Orchid and the children’s television program Kids Incorporated. She quit the group in 2001 and joined the Black Eyed Peas the following year. Before releasing The Dutchess, her debut solo album, in 2006, she collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas on two albums. She kept working with the Black Eyed Peas, and they released two more albums together: The E.N.D. (2009) and The Beginning. (2010). 2017 saw the release of Double Dutchess, her second solo album.
Additionally, Fergie has made appearances in a number of movies, such as Poseidon (2006), Grindhouse (2007), and Nine. (2009). In May 2010, she introduced her first Avon-exclusive fragrance, Outspoken, and since then, she has produced four additional scents. 2009 saw the debut of Fergie Footwear, her range of footwear.
