Eric Thomas Paslay (born January 29, 1983) is a country music singer and songwriter from the United States. He has recorded one album for EMI Nashville, which included the smash singles “Friday Night”, “Song About a Girl”, and “She Don’t Love You”. Paslay has also written several hit tracks for other musicians, including Amy Grant, Dierks Bentley, and Charles Kelley, among others.
Paslay performed on Amy Grant’s album How Mercy Looks from Here in 2013, sharing lead vocals with Grant and Sheryl Crow on “Deep As It Is Broad,” a song he penned. Grant remarked in album promotions that she is most enthused about Paslay as an emerging musician.
Charles Kelley’s debut solo single “The Driver,” which was released on September 28, 2015, features Paslay and Dierks Bentley. For the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, “The Driver” received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Paslay has received his first Grammy nomination as a recording artist.
