Rose, who was raised in Dalston and was born in London’s East End, started working at the Flashback record store when she was 15 years old. She has always loved jazz and soul music, and in her late teens, when she had enough money to start buying records, she started DJing. She did this because she wanted to be able to listen to more music. She studied at a university and a college while taking music production courses. She has recorded duets with many different musicians and has a radio show for The Vinyl Factory.

A DJ and producer named Interplanetary Criminal brought Rose the music “B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All),” and Rose created the lyrics for it after being influenced by Pam Grier from the movie Coffy. The song turned out to be an unexpected hit and was widely played in London clubs before being played at the Glastonbury Festival in 2022. It debuted in the UK charts in August 2022 and reached the top spot in September. Since Sonique in 2000, she became the first female DJ to top the UK Singles Chart. It received a platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industries in December 2022. (BPI).

“What Happens in Dreams” is a book that Rose has also written.
