Editors are a Birmingham-based English rock band who formed in 2002. Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals), and Benjamin John Power (composer and producer) make up the band.
Along with critical praise and significant success in the UK Singles Chart, they continuously experienced sold-out tours and multiple festival headlining gigs. Their gloomy indie rock sound is sometimes compared to those of bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Interpol, The Chameleons, and U2.
