Le’Quincy Anderson, better known by his stage name Don Q, is an American rapper who was born on April 28, 1990. His association with labelmate A Boogie wit da Hoodie is what makes him most well-known.
In 2016, Quincy “QP” Acheampong and Sambou “Bubba” Camara, friends, who run Highbridge the Label, signed Don. The label’s first musicians to be signed were him and A Boogie. The compilation Highbridge the Label: The Takeover Vol. prominently featured him. 1. It was released on May 28, 2016. With his appearance on Funkmaster Flex’s freestyle show on Hot 97 alongside A Boogie wit da Hoodie, one of the most well-liked up-and-coming rappers in New York City, Don received additional attention. Don performed an outstanding freestyle over Oochie Wally by Nas. Shortly, the Tri-State region’s radio stations started playing the Don Q-featuring tracks Bando and Bag On Me.
Highbridge the Label and Atlantic Records collaborated in July 2016. In August 2016, Don released his debut official mixtape. DJ Don Cannon was the host of the mixtape dubbed Don Season. Features on the mixtape come from A Boogie, PnB Rock, and Keir. He participated in the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher in September 2016 together with A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Russ, Kent Jones, and Nick Grant. Don worked with musicians throughout the year, including Meek Mill, Dave East, Fabolous, Young Scooter, and PnB Rock.
